Darjeeling, Gangtok & Pelling
Overview
A number of lovely coastal towns, including Digha, Shankarpur, Mandarmani, Bakkhali, Gangasagar, and Tajpur, can be found along West Bengal's coastline, which stretches from the Gangetic Delta to the state's border with Odisha. Darjeeling is the most well-known of the several hill stations in North West Bengal. Additionally, Kurseong, Kalimpong, Rimbick, Lava and Loleygaon, Mirik, and Sandakfu are included. In the southern region of West Bengal, Bagmundi is also well-known among tourists. West Bengal also has animal refuges and bird refuges, such as Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary and Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary.
Tour Program
Day 1 - BAGDOGRA / NJP - GANGTOK(130 KMS / 4-5 Hrs Journey)
Arrive at Bagdogra airport. Report to Vehicle and proceed to Gangtok. It is the capital and largest town of Sikkim state. Gangtok means ‘Top of Hills’ as the city is located right in the middle of Himalayan range at an elevation of about 1700 mt. It is known for its scenic beauty and striking views of Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world.
Day 2 - GANGTOK – TSOMGO LAKE – BABA MANDIR - GANGTOK
Today will take a day trip to Tsomgo lake also called as Changu lake. The name Tsomgo means “source of Water”. This is one of the few and awesome high altitude lakes in India situated at an altitude of 12300 ft. We further proceed to visit the temple of Baba Harbhajan Singh, Post Afternoon back to Gangtok, Overnight stay
Day 3 - GANGTOK – NAMCHI – PELLING (150 KMS / 6-7 Hrs)
Early Morning, After Breakfast, check out from Hotel, visit Halfday sightseeing like Rumtek Monastery, Shanthi View Point, Do drul Chorten Stupa Afternoon proceed to Pelling En route visit Chardham Temple and Statue of Lord Shiva Temple, Dinner, stay.
Day 4 - PELLING
Today visit scenic places around Pelling. Tak a stop at Rimbi falls and then proceed to Kanchanjunga Waterfall. visit Khecheopalri Lake, a wish fulfilling lake is sacred for both Hindus and Buddhists. Also visit Pemayangtse Monastery. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 5 - PELLING – DARJEELING
Today make a move to Darjeeling. En-route do water rafting(optional) chilling waters of Teesta river. Arrive in Darjeeling, noted for its tea industry and also for the great views of the worlds third-highest Mountain Kanchenjunga
Day 6 - DARJEELING
Early Morning @4AM, proceed to Tiger Hills, Batasia Loop, Japanese Temple, After Breakfast, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Tea Gardens, Tensingh Rock, Evening free for Leisure, Overnight stay
Day 7 - DARJEELING – BAGDOGRA
Early Morning After Breakfast, drop at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station
